In New Zealand, Forestry is the third largest export earner behind dairy and meat. New Zealand Forest Industry is based on sustainable plantations of predominantly Pinus radiata. Unpastural land on Farms is being encouraged to plant Pine Forests as a way to offset New Zealand's carbon emissions.
