(Original Caption) 4/2/1957-Dallas, Texas- The deadly funnel of a tornado makes its way northwestward to the records crossing section of Dallas, April 2nd, cutting a swath through the industrial portion of the city. A series of tornadoes sweeping through Texas and southern Oklahoma killed at least 14 persons and injured over 150 others. It was estimated that in Dallas alone, some 800 homes were destroyed.Image provided by Getty Images.
