The most extreme weather I have seen this year. It was pitch black around 7 PM that day on July 9th even though we had about 3 hours of daylight left. This is my favorite tree to photograph, or at least for now. Its very hard to find a lonely tree isolated from everything else around here. The color of clouds was spectacular. The blue part was about half an hour north and there it turned day into night. Purple clouds are from lightning that was happening just above and the sun being still high in the sky. It was clearly visible by the naked eye, it's not something that camera picked up because of long exposure.
