Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts: Baron Gottfried von Cramm (left) and his doubles partner, Heinrich Henkel, of Germany, before their opening round match in the 57th Annual Men's National Doubles Tennis Championship, at the Longwood Cricket Club, Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, August 24. Playing together in America for the first time, the Germans defeated Richard T. Murphy and Samuel Fitch of Boston, 6-3, 5-7, 6-2. August 24, 1937.
