(Original Caption) McAlester: A. Hilbert, 84, of McAlester, for over sixty years active as a photographer, has among his prized possessions an original photograph of Samuel F. B. Morse, inventor of the telegraph. The picture was given to Hilbert by the inventor in 1870 two years before his death. Morse, also an artist and photographer, is shown with his camera. The picture was made with an ambrotype process camera.
