(Original Caption) Novel way of breaking up a Communist meeting...New York City Communists were holding an open-air meeting in Union Square. Suddenly a steam roller chugged along and forced the men attending the meeting to move on as it started a little job of paving the street where the meeting was held. The last words of the Communist speaker as this ponderous weapon cleared away his listeners was to the effect that Mayor Walker, Police Commissioner Whalen and several others up in the government of New York City could have picked another place and another time for a bit of street paving work.
