Taken during one of the many visits I've made to the Bund area of Shanghai which sits on the West bank of the Huangpu river which runs through the middle of the Chinese city. The Bund area of Shanghai gives a perfect spot to see not only old buildings from the past but also an unobstructed view across the Huangpu river to the Lujiazui area, otherwise known as the financial centre of Shanghai. Lujiazui dominates the skyline with it's towering skyscrapers, including the Shanghai Tower, which is set to become the second tallest building in the world once it's build is complete in 2014.The Bund area is a tourist hotspot and you'll rarely find yourself without a few hundred people around you, and during peak times the large riverside walkway can be packed to almost bursting point with mobile phones, tablets and cameras galore snapping pics of the Shanghai skyline and their owners in front of it.
