(Original Caption) 7/8/64-New York: A sight to behold is the beauty of spraying water, light and glistening steel at the center of the New York World's Fair. It's the prominent site of the unisphere, the symbol of the fair, which stands 12 stories high over a long fountain sprayed pool. The principal illumination that makes this a spectacular attraction at night is provided by thirty 1000-watt mercury floodlamps, developed by General Electric and used for the first time at the fair.
