(Original Caption) 3/6/1951-New York, NY: Julius Rosenberg and his wife, Ethel, are escorted into U.S. Court in New York by Deputy Marshal Harry McCabe (Center) for the opening of their trial today as key figures in the Klaus Fuchs - Harry Gold Atomic spy ring. Standing trial with them is Morton Sobell. All three are charged with espionage and conspiracy and as the alleged crime was committed in wartime, the government may ask for the death penalty. The trial, at which Federal Judge Irving R. Kaufman is presiding, is expected to last three months.
