(Original Caption) 10/21/1965-Pasadena, CA: At his home in Pasadena, Richard P. Feynman receives word that he is one of three physicists sharing the Nobel Prize for physics. The research by Dr. Feynman, along with co-winners Julian Seymour Schwinger of Harvard, and Shinchiro Tomonaga of Tokyo Education University, dealt with quantum electrodynamics and resulted in solving the difficulties in carrying out quantitative calculations of the interplay between charged particles.
