(Original Caption) Radio Tank New Instrument Of Warfare. Here is a picture of the new radio-equipped tanks which are being used in maneuvers and sham battles to test their practicality. The tanks of the usual baby kind, and are not armed, but are used merely as a medium of transmitting messages from headquarters to the field. The radio tank is manned by two men, one a radio operator and the other a tank driver. The tank follows closely behind the fighting tanks, and relays messages to and from the fighting forces to the main transmitting and receiving station at headquarters, the periscope arrangement on top of the tank is the aerial, the radio set having a sending and receiving radius of about 25 miles.
