New York: Eddie Josephs, the third man in the ring, gestures to Joe Louis to get himself into a neutral corner before starting to count over the supine Billy Conn, who has been smashed flat to the canvas at the Yankee Stadium in eighth round of heavyweight title bout. Conn, gloves over his face, is down and very very definitely out. This KO ended the fight in title retaining victory for the champ in 2 minutes 19 seconds of the eighth round.
