(Original Caption) Evolution of a Comedian. Red Skelton, [. . .]Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer comedian, reviews his life in pictures d[. . .] filming of the musical comedy, Panama Hattie, in which Red is starred with Ann Sothern. Red, whose career includes every branch of entertainment except grand opera, was signed to a long-term contract from the stage. After a small role in Flight Command and another in Dr. Kildare's Wedding Day, he was starred in his first picture, Whistling in the Dark. Two musical comedies, Lady Be Good and now Panama Hattie, complete his film experience. Norman McLeod directs Panama Hattie and Arthur Freed produces. When he was sixteen, Red joined the Mutual wheel to play in burlesque. He was the youngest featured burlesque actor in the business at the time.
