I was delighted when this Red Deer Stag came out of the woods on the edge of the Quantock Hill in Somerset, and then stood beside this magnificent old tree. He was only there for a moment and as I was out the open it wasn't long before he moved on. This photograph was taken during the annual autumn rutting period
