(Original Caption) Ralph Nader demanded 4/13 that General Motors issue guarantees that defects in 50,000 of its new front wheel drive cars going on sale next week have been fixed. Nader said there are at least 11 defects in compact cars, some of which are "serious safety defects." GM has said it has found some defects in pre-market testing and is fixing them before the cars appear in dealer's showrooms next Thursday.
