(Original Caption) Kennedy Surrounded by Admirers. Santa Monica, California: President John F. Kennedy is surrounded by a crowd, some in swim clothes, others in regular dress, as he takes a dip August 19th. While spending the afternoon relaxing at the home of Peter Lawford, Mr. Kennedy left the fenced-in beach in back of the house and took a 20-minute dip.
