'Portrait of the Abbé Scaglia', 1634. Cesare Alessandro Scaglia (1592-1641) was an Italian cleric and diplomat. He was Abbot of Saffarda Abbey and served as ambassador for the House of Savoy in Rome, Paris and London. Painting held at The National Gallery, London. From The Connoisseur Volume LXXXII.
