(Original Caption) 12/2/1920-Danzig-Polish fugitives mostly Jews from the towns surrounding Warsaw, waiting in the quarantine station at Danzig for vessels sailing to the United States. There are ten thousand fugitives at the station, it is said, and none of them will ever return to Poland. They are all seeking passports to America where they will make their future hopes. The photographs show groups of fugitives who have gone clean through a cleaning process, awaiting vouchers which will permit them to visit tbe city of Danzig. These photographs are the first to reach the U.S. from Danzig since the drive of the Russian troops.
