Artist's Description

(Original Caption) Lynbrook: "Shorty," The Lynbrook Cop. Here he is, Ladies and gentlemen--the busiest little cop in or out of New York. He's known as "Shorty" and is a member of the Lynbrook, Long Island, Police force. His post is at the Five Corners, Lynbrook through which center thousands of cars pass daily. Within twelve hours on a recent Sunday, 56,321 cars, by actual count, were directed along their ways by Shorty. His acrobatic handling of the dense traffic, and continual good humor, has earned for him a place in the hearts of all that know him, with the exception of drivers that violate laws. Then Shorty hands them a personal invitation to tell it to the judge.
