(Original Caption) This photo shows police and picketers outside of the New York Stock Exchange, which became strike-bound today when the United Financial Employees, (AFL) walked out. The workers struck to enforce their demands for a union shop and higher wages. Both exchanges, stock and curb, opened for business and carried on with girl receptionists replacing page boys and transaction reporters on the exchange floor.
