(Original Caption) Famous Brighton Beach scenic railway is torn down. The famous mile long scenic railway at Brighton Beach, which has been the delight and source of New York beach resort, is to be torn down and replaced by a great beach athletic playground. The process of dismantling the railway has already begun, and part of the structure is here shown being removed. The Brighton baths will erect a completely equipped athletic plant on the site of the scenic railway for the use of the thousands who visit the beach during the summer months.
