Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, Fukuoka (aka Hakata), Japan. Dedicated in 905 A.D., shrine commemorates Michizane Sugawara, a Heian official renowned for his learning and purity of heart. Dates to 1591 and is a classic example of Momoyama Period architecture.
