2/2/1947-Uno, VA: Original caption reads: Meet George Davis, the patriarch of Uno! George was born in 1845, near the site that is now Uno. At that time, he says, there was only a wagon trail through here. George and his wife, Martha, 96, own their home with some acreage. That staff he holds is his constant companion. His teeth are intact and his eyes are as clear and bright as those of a young man in his twenties. George can't remember how long he has been married. He has two daughters.
