Mushroom cloud from a 23 kiloton atomic bomb detonated 90 feet underwater during Operation Crossroads along the Bikini Atoll. This was the second atomic detonation of the operation. The first blast of the operation, which took place on July 1st, was detonated at an altitude of 520 feet.
