(Original Caption) Maceio City, Brazil: No Frank Stuff When Brazil Hunts Bandits. This gruesome exhibit was one of the recent attractions for the populace of Maceio City. It is composed of the heads of a group of bandits which were led by the notorious "Lampeao" - the flame so-called because the flame of his rifle was said to light up the countryside. For 20 years "Lampeao" and his bandit group had terrorized the entire state of Alagoas, but the police met up with the band and wiped it out on July 29. Included in the exhibit here are some of the hats that once graced the living heads. The head of the bandit leader himself is on foreground.
