Mohenjo-daro is an archeological site in PAKISTAN . English name is Mound of the Dead Men. Mohenjo-daro was abandoned in the 19th century BCE as the Indus Valley Civilization declined and the site was not rediscovered until the 1920s.
During its heyday from about 2500 to 1900 B.C. the city was among the most important to the Indus civilization.
Mohenjo darodesignated an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980.
