Mission Bay located in San Diego, California. This area was dredged in the 1940's specifically for recreational purposes. Today, Mission Bay is the largest man-made aquatic park in the United States. I shot this image from an elevation of approximately five hundred feet during a chartered photo-flight of the San Diego area.
