Artist's Description

(Original Caption) Religious Sect Migrates From Canada To Mexico: Probably the greatest migration of a religious sect since the days of Moses is now being conducted, 20,000 members of the Mennonite tribe of Canada having started on the long journey from their farms in the rich Manitoba country for new homesteads in Mexico. The high priests and bishops of the sect incurred the wrath of the Canadian authorities during the war when they prohibited members of the cult from taking up arms and joining the Canadian forces. The Government caused the protests to issue proclamations to the Mennonites ordering them to sell their farms, pack their farm implements and personal belongings and prepare for the migration to other parts. Special trains consisting of from 25 to 30 cars each are carrying the belongings to the scene their new homes in Mexico. The women though garbed similarly in Bron D
