Artist's Description

KHAN NESHIN, AFGHANISTAN - MARCH 13: (FRANCE OUT) A US Marine attached to the 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion gingerly steps across a muddy creek while on a mission March 13, 2010 near Khan Neshin, southern Helmand province, Afghanistan. The Marines at Khan Neshin are the southernmost troops in Afghanistan, using the earthen walls of an ancient Afghan castle as a base to monitor activity in this hotbed of smuggling and insurgency near the southern border of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
