Artist's Description

(Original Caption) Like Grandma Used to Wear. Marguerite Chuchill, a modern young miss of the stage and screen, models one of the entries in the "Threads of Happiness" contest in New York, for old American costumes, all hand-sewn. The contest is sponsored by The Spool Cotton Institute. This dress was made in Michigan, way back in 1833. The cape of cotton lace mesh is one of the outstanding features.
