(Original Caption) Hans N. Langseth of Fargo, N.D., was the honored guest at the days of '49 celebration in Sacramento, having the longest whiskers on record. His beard measures 14 feet, 4 inches. A couple of the '49ers on the women's reception committee accompanied the wearer of the record beard to keep the crowd from walking on the braided "Zits."
