(Original Caption) 6/15/1950-Miami, FL: Frank Beddor, 26, is riding from Minneapolis to Rio De Janereiro and Rowdy, his 135 pound Great Dane, is tagging right behind--and enjoyinhg it. Beddor, who operates a selfy laundry on the University of Minnesota Campus, wants to visit some Brazilians h met while training with the Air Force in Texas. At te moment, his journey has reached a dead end in Miami, as their were no ships sailing Riowards and he hasn't the plane fare. Beddor's greatest expense is feeding his year old pet, which consumes six cans of horse meat a day. Beddor spends the night alongside the road in a sleeping bag.
