Family enjoying the view down the chalk cliffs on Rügen island, Mecklenburg Vorpommern, Germany. This image is taken near a famous outlook, the so called 'Wissower Klinken', which collapsed into the Baltic Sea in 2005 in a landslide. ----------The Jasmund National Park is a nature reserve in the northeast of Rügen island in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It is famous for the largest chalk cliffs of Germany, among them the so called Königsstuhl = 'King's Chair'. These cliffs rise up to 161 m high above the Baltic Sea. The undisturbed beech forests which you can see on this image are a magnificient part of the national park.
