(Original Caption) When is Pays to be Acquainted with an Expert. There's alot of grief to railroading says little Raymond Girard of Oakland, California, to J.H. Falvey, crack locomotive engineer of the Southern Pacific, who is shown here giving son master Girard some pointers in locomotives. Raymond is grandson of John (Brick) Judge, famous engineer under whom Falvey began railroading.
