(Original Caption) 4/21/1924- The fact has become known that Miss Lillian Carter, who inherited $2,000,000 ten years ago from her father, was married secretly in 1923 to mentor Wimberly Lamar of Macon, GA, a member of one of the best known families in Georgia. Miss Carter was married several years before to George Schmidt, an Army officer, but obtained a divorce and took back her maiden name. Photo shows, left to right, Miss Carter and Mrs. Hector of Boston, who visited Miss Carter recently.
