Artist's Description

(Original Caption) Houses moved from Winthrop, Mass., to Point of Pines, Mass., near Lynn, on lighter towed by two tugs a distance of 15 miles and was made in three hours. The house was bought for $5,000,00 and cost to build $10,000. Rep. Thomas Giblin of East Houston, bought the house and it will cost all complete on its new location about $3,500. They expect to sell it for $6,000, when finished. The painters, paper hangers and other workmen were working all the time the house was being moved. The house had to be lowered 50 feet down over an embankment and at low tide put on the lighter.
