(Original Caption) 7/18/1955-Los Angeles, CA: Actor Kirk Douglas poses beside a self-portrait of Vincent Van Gogh, painted by the artist in 1886-1887 to show his remarkable resemblance to the great painter. This is no trick of make-up, the only thing added to Douglas' face is the beard. Douglas will play the role of Van Gogh in MGM's "Lust for Life."
