Jenny Darney, A Remarkable Character in Cumberland', 1821. Portrait of a pipe-smoking 'travelling eccentric' who was 'well known in the southern part of the county of Cumberland...The country people knew her by the name of Jenny Darney, from the manner, it is presumed, in which she used to mend her clothes.
