Artist's Description

Kazuko Kadota, Mamiko Hamono, and Yuki Takami Graham (l-r) decorate the alter of the New York Buddhist Church, 171 West 94th Street, Manhattan, during its 15th anniversary celebration. The day had also been set aside as "Buddhist Art Festival Day" to stimulate the interest of the Japanese colony in their arts and traditions.
