Iron casket, circa 1400, (1881). Etching of a double coffer or casket with divided lids, made in France in the early 15th century. It was probably designed as a strong box for a church. From "The South Kensington Museum", a book of engraved illustrations, with descriptions, of the works of art in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London (formerly known as the South Kensington Museum).
