(Original Caption) Washington, D.C.: This is the new seal selected for the combined AFL-CIO. It was designed by John Baer, cartoonist for the railway brotherhood paper, Labor and artist for the AFL Union Label & Services Trades Department. The new seal becomes the official insignia for the AFl-CIO on December 5th when the merger convention opens.
