(Original Caption) Muslim refugees are shown here; some of the 100,000 victims of Religious rioting who have taken refuge in the congested Purana Qila Fort on the outskirts of New Delhi. Here they wait patiently in line for water from the single hose that supplies drinking and washing water for the fort. It is not uncommon to spend five hours on the line for a single jar of water.
