Artist's Description

(Original Caption) 1/10/1947-Detroit, MI: Did you ever stop to wonder why you scratch your head when you are baffled? Arthur W. Warner is going through the bafflement routine here as he surveys his automobile in icy Lake St. Clair, Detroit. The car broke through the ice half a mile from shore as Warner was fishing with two sons and a friend. All four jumped to safety as the car took its dive. Now the fishermen have the problem of fishing out the car.Image provided by Getty Images.
