Artist's Description

(Original Caption) 1/14/1970-New York, NY- The Zale Corporation, which operates some 1,000 stores, most of them jewelry stores, announced that it will donate the recently-purchased 435-carat Light of Peace diamond, the 14th largest in the world, to the cause of peace. Measuring approximately two inches high, the rough stone is to be cut up into small diamonds, and one 150-carat pear-shaped diamond, expected to be worth $3 to $5 million.
