The (New) Trikeri village was created in the 18th century when the inhabitants of the island (Old) Triker asked a safer place to settle in order to guard against pirates' raids.It was therefore natural that their main occupation was to remain the shipping business. They obtained, in fact, to show off their new place as one of the greatest naval forces of Greece.Over the course of time, however, they have incorporated more sterile jobs into their daily lives, such as livestock farming.That's why the photo depicts a flock of goats grazing against the backdrop of the village (New) Trikeri.
