(Original Caption) 3/15/1924-Wilkensburg, PA-The little broadcasting set, over which the first message was broadcasted in this country, marking the birth of a great industry.It is a little set, which was located in the garage of Frank Conrad, at Wilkenburg, PA, and from which the returns of the President Harding's election were sent broadcast, after being relayed by phone of the office of J.C. McQuiston in the Pittsburgh Post Editorial rooms.It was from this litle set that the great station KDKA was built up.
