Artist's Description

November 1956: Two lonely hearts meet in the park of the Villa Borghese in Rome. They both frequent the Cafe Canova where the manager Omero Benfanati works in cooperation with a marriage agency. He places tiny photographs of young men and women anxious to find a life's partner in boxes of chocolates sold at the cafe. (Photo by Enzo Graffeo/BIPs/Getty Images)
