Description
Ferdinand Lassalle, 19th century German jurist and socialist political activist, (1903). Lasalle (1825-1864) participated in the French Revolution of 1848. He became the first President of the Universal German Workmen's Union in 1862. Lasalle was killed in a duel in 1864.
