(Original Caption) Lucy Stone (1818-1893), American feminist who was a founder of the American Woman Suffrage Association. She also organized the first national women's rights convention at Worcester, Massachusetts. Married to Henry B. Blackwell, but retained her maiden name as a protest and was known as Mrs. Stone.
