(Original Caption) Los Angeles, California: Just because she is a woman, men racing drivers in Los Angeles refuse to compete with Mlle. Maurice Mozette on the track in the races now being held at the Ascot Speedway. She has driven in one race, and that an exhibition one, since her arrival in the southern California city because of the veto of the other contestants. The French woman is anxious to compete and her fight for the right to burn the dust is being keenly watched by the auto racing fraternity. She may race another woman driver in a special race Memorial Day, and efforts are being made to obtain Jean La Costa, woman world's champion driver, as her opponent.
